Hi everyone! This blog post is all about the amazing Nu Skin, a beauty and skin brand that I personally adore. I was recently asked by my fabulous friend, Ate Rio who has been working with this brand, to review the products that I’ve already tried before. I was very ecstatic to do so since I’ve been a fan of the brand ever since it was introduced to me. So I’m happy to share all my thoughts about their products!

AP 24 Whitening Fluoride-Free Toothpaste

I’ve tried this product before and so I was super excited to get to use it once again. I used to drink coffee and tea a lot, which stains your teeth and prevents you from having the best pearly whites. If you’re a coffee drinker yourself, or if you just need a whitening toothpaste that is really effective, then the APR-24 Whitening toothpaste from Nu Skin is definitely a good choice! It has a vanilla mint flavor and is super safe if you’re worried about having sensitive teeth (I too have sensitive teeth but I haven’t felt any discomfort at all). Its affordability and effectiveness makes it really worth a try.

Scion Whitening Deodorant

I am very careful with what I use for my underarms as I’ve heard about many deodorant products that promise to whiten and protect from odor and perspiration but perform otherwise. I’ve been using the same product over the years just to be safe. But when I learned that the Scion Whitening Deodorant is alcohol-free, gentle, non-irritating, and PH balanced, I was super impressed that I have to try it! I’ve been using it for almost a week now and I must say that it seems to be doing what it’s supposed to do. I only put a small amount on each of my underarm and it does the job pretty well. It’s non-sticky, non-tacky, effective and super safe. I highly recommend this deodorant if you want to switch up the one you’re currently using (which may not be effectively whitening your pits!) to a more safer and valuable deodorant such as this.

EPOCH Glacial Marine Mud Mask

This is my favorite product of Nu Skin! I honestly don’t have the best skin care routine because one, I am super lazy in putting on products on my face lol and two, I have sensitive skin that easily flares up and reddens so I’m very careful with what I use. But the Glacial Marine Mud is something that I’ve been using ever since my friend, Ate Rio, introduced us this product! I’ve ordered a couple of times already and I super love it. It’s the only mud/clay mask that I’ve tried and have sticked to because it really clears out my pores and leaves my skin feeling soft and super clean!

I highly recommend these products for your hygiene and skin care routine! If you are interested in purchasing these products, you can get a 10% discount if you simply shop thru this LINK which already has my discount code: INNA19 :)

Thanks for reading!

Now I get why people keep coming back to Hong Kong - the vibe is simply amazing and it's relatively inexpensive to travel there! We were all first timers to HK and Macau so this trip was definitely special. I promise myself to be back here someday to explore more! There are surprisingly plenty of things a tourist can do!

If I get the chance to visit Japan again, I would definitely include Kyoto in our itinerary once more. Many visitors label this place their favorite in the country, and I truly understand why. The vibe is so much different from the busy and bustling Tokyo as Kyoto has a more relaxed, traditional, and easy atmosphere.

Our visit to Kyoto was only a day trip from Osaka, but we have covered most of the popular tourist destinations to tick off. If you're planning to squeeze in a short Kyoto tour (which I HIGHLY recommend), then I suggest taking note of this list I am about to share!

1. Visit the Fushimi Inari Shrine

Aahhh. Memoirs of a Geisha feels! (You'll get this if you've seen this movie). You cannot miss the most visited shrine in Kyoto, the Fushimi Inari Shrine, with an overlong pathway of thousands of traditional torii gates lined up. I recommend heading there early in the morning to beat the crowds, and follow the thousands of torii gates up to the top of the mountain.

Entrance is free.

2. Walk through the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest

Another popular place to head to is the natural bamboo forest in Arashiyama. Just like Fushimi, it gets super jampacked in here, but still worth a visit despite the crowds.

3. Explore the grounds of the Golden Pavilion

The most serene temple we have visited is the Kinkaku-ji, or otherwise known as the Golden Pavilion, an iconic gold-colored temple that sits in the middle of the temple grounds. We were a little bit early for the autumn season, but if you are able to pay a visit during the peak of fall, then you'll get to witness the golden temple being surrounded by majestic autumn trees in red, orange, and yellow leaves. That would truly be an amazing sight!

Entrance fee: 400 yen (around PHP 200)

4. Walk around the Gion District while wearing a Kimono

To experience an old Japan vibe, you must explore the Gion District of Kyoto, known as the old entertainment hub in Kyoto. This is the best place to rent and wear kimonos while exploring, to fully expose and immerse yourself to the Japanese culture. I tell you, this experience will be high up on your list of favorite moments in Japan.

Do not forget to take photos of the iconic Hokanji Temple in Gion! By the way, if you're lucky, you may even spot a geisha walking around here :D

5. Eat and eat. Because duh.

Kyoto is known for producing the best matcha in Japan, so it is a must to have matcha treats when you are there. You'll also need the caffeine to stay awake and stay energized!

Matcha ice cream and Matcha Soba

And the best way to end your Kyoto tour is to devour the best meat you will ever taste in your whole life (I kid you not!), Wagyu beef!!! We had Kobe beef for dinner and it was seriously the best meal I had in Kyoto. The meat just bursts in amazing flavors and melts in your mouth literally!

There are obviously more places to explore and things you can try in Kyoto, but this list would definitely help you plan out your tour, especially if you're only exploring it for a day just like us.

I also created this very short 1-minute video of Kyoto. Enjoy!
