Exploring El Nido, Palawan
El Nido is definitely a famous tourist spot in the Philippines, and I'm sure a lot of you have already visited the place. But for those who are yet to do so, I hope this post entices you to book that ticket already and explore El Nido as well!
The main activity to do here is island hopping. There are 4 tours to choose from: Tour A, B, C, and D, each with 4-5 different islands to explore. Each tour lasts for a whole day, so if you're lucky to be staying in for a couple of days, then you may experience all the tours they offer. You may choose from a wide selection of tour companies around the city, all with similar prices (at P1,400-1,500/pax per tour).
However, if you're pressed with time, just like us (we only had one full day to do island hopping!), then I suggest you book your island tour with Skipper Charters! They offer speedboat tours which allow you to cruise around the islands faster, safer, and in style. We were able to see 9 islands in one day (this is something that the regular pump boat tours cannot do since they are slower!). As mentioned in their site, "It's the perfect way to get more out of El Nido", and I couldn't agree more!
We were joined by other tourists who booked Skipper Charters on the same day, which just made our tour even more memorable since we were able to meet people from different countries!
First stop - SMALL LAGOON. Which can be entered through a small opening. If the tide is low, people can just walk through that small opening to get inside. The tide was unfortunately a little high when we went, so we had to ride a kayak to enter the now even smaller opening. (Zoom in on the photo above to see the very small hole). When we got in, we were transported to a very quiet, and peaceful lagoon, and were surrounded by amazing rock formations.
BIG LAGOON - Aaaahh look at those rock mountains!
SECRET LAGOON - Similar to the small lagoon, you need to enter a small opening to get inside, but since the tide was a little high and the waves were big, it was kinda risky to actually enter if you do not know how to swim. You need to dive underwater and swim through the small opening; unless the there weren't any waves, then you can use life jackets and swim through the hole. The non-swimmers (like me) had to stay on the boat -.-
TAPIUTAN ISLAND - This is probably the most instagrammable island that we've went to. I felt like we were in the Moana movie! This is where we had our delicious lunch prepared by our boatmen, and had our photoshoots lol.

The best seat in this island, with the best crew to travel with!
Lunch is served! Kudos to our boatmen who did all the hard work to prepare our food <3

MATINLOC ISLAND - where we went snorkeling and saw the whole cast of finding nemo!

CADLAO ISLAND - my second-most favorite island (the first is Tapituan!) <3
SEVEN COMMANDO ISLAND - The last stop. We had to savor the last island and took lotsa photos and enjoyed the water. This island reminds me of Daku Island in Siargao, since it has inhabitants, sports activities, eateries, and even a luxury resort.
Photobombed by a random guy -__-
It was an awesome trip with these guys!
We also went to HELICOPTER ISLAND, which was unfortunately not photographed since it was raining when we went. But I could clearly remember that we went snorkeling and saw colorful fishesss!
If you made it down to this post, then thanks for reading! Hope you enjoyed this tour! All these photos do not give justice though to how beautiful and amazing El Nido is!
Ciao :)
