Sta. Monica Beach Club - Staycation in Dumaguete City
If you have been living in Dumaguete City, then I'm sure Sta. Monica Beach Club is nothing new to you. This resort has been one of the go-to places of many families because of it's peaceful ambiance, huge swimming pool, delicious dishes, and accessible location. Whether we need a few hours of relaxation, or an overnight getaway that's not too far from our city, then this place does not disappoint.
I was very ecstatic to have been invited for an afternoon tea, along with some aspiring bloggers in Dumaguete, by the management company of Sta. Monica, One of Collection. They were very kind to have showed us the whole place and gave us a tour of this beautiful resort. I actually found out that they have renovated their rooms and are continuously improving their services and facilities - thumbs up for them!
My sister and I came back after a few weeks just to relax, try out their buffet dinner...and take more photos :)
So here, let me show you around.
A refreshing drink to beat the unbearable summer heat.

They have a pool bar - perfect venue to have an afternoon snack/drink while enjoying the view of the pool and garden area. Events (like birthdays, special dinners) can also be held at the pool area which can accommodate 30-40 people.
Moving on with their rooms... This is their Deluxe Room that's good for 2 people. You may choose to have a king-sized bed or two double-beds.
(Price: Php 4,000+ during Lean Season, Php 5,000+ for Peak Season)
It somehow has a mix of native and modern vibe, making it a very cozy room to stay in.
This is now the Family Loft which is perfect for small families or a group of friends as it has two levels. This picture below shows the ground floor which has one king-sized bed...

...and the second floor looks like this :)
I would definitely choose to stay at that cute spot beside the window!
(Price: Php 5,800+ during Lean Season, and Php 6,800+ during Peak Season)
This is now the Beach House, which has three bedrooms with one queen bed each and a shared living area. We weren't able to get in as the room was occupied. This obviously can accommodate a bigger group of family or friends.
(Price: Php 10,800+ during Lean Season, Php 12,800+ during Peak Season)
If you're planning to go diving or snorkeling, you can head to their Dive Shop where they offer diving services/workshops with complete gears and equipment already.
Now the Garden Area... I always picture myself having a picnic here. Maybe someday if they will allow? Lol. This area, which can accommodate 200 people, has been a famous wedding venue here in Dumaguete.

This is the Glass House Function Room that's good for 100 people.
The Lanai Restaurant - I dine with my family here sometimes since they serve really great dishes at a good price. This area overlooks the sea and thus very breezy.

So the most awaited part - baby, this is what we came for lol! They served us some Shrimp Aglio Olio Pasta (my fave kind of pasta dish), sandwiches, and some pastries which were so tasty and filling.
With some of the bloggers whom I met at the workshop we all attended a few days before this, and the Chief Operating Manager of Sta Monica - Ms. Lyba Godio who was very kind and friendly.
Can't leave the place without a group picture! Thank you Sta. Monica Beach Beach Club and One of Collection for having us!
My sister and I decided to come back after a few weeks to have some afternoon snacks. We luckily had the place all to ourselves for a few hours. And so...forgive these pictures lol

Little afternoon delights to combat the heat: Halo-halo and Frozen Mango Cake (Php 150.00 each)
They offer buffet dinners every Saturday for the price of Php500.00 per person. As a seafood lover, I decided to give it a go that time since they don't just serve different dishes but also grilled seafood! Yaasss! We called up the rest of our family to come and we all had a quiet and satisfying dinner that night <3

Oh, and they have the BEST MASHED POTATO EVER. It's so creamy but light! Will definitely be back for it!
So don't you think this place is perfect for that R&R you much need during the weekend? At P500, you can already enjoy the whole place (including the pool of course) and you can order food with it since P400 of your payment is consumable :)
Thank you once again, Sta. Monica Beach Club for a great experience! :)
