Cebu City in the Philippines is widely known for having 5-star hotel resorts in Mactan Island. There are quite a number of emerging resorts being put up, all with exceptional facilities, different interior styles, and white sand beach front.

After I graduated from college, I worked in Cebu City for a whole year but haven't had the chance to visit any of Mactan's famous resorts. (Buhoo) But fortunately and finally, we were able to spend a weekend at Movenpick Hotel.

It's a 5-star Mediterranean-inspired beachfront hotel that is just close to Mactan Cebu International Airport and Mactan Shrine. I think they are known for their two pretty towers painted in pastel colors.

They have their own bar, too, called Ibiza Beach Club which is so cool at night. They have great tapas and grilled seafood with a Mediterranean taste. They also have live performances showcasing different talents of cultural dances and music.  

 

 

Rooms are also very spacious and cozy. Love their bed and pillows - super extra comfy!!!

Food tastes as good as it looks on these pictures. Also, their buffet breakfast is insane. The area is so huge and they have so many varieties of food to choose from.

Their pool is huge enough, too.

     

They have a beverage bar in the lobby where you can order fresh juices, smoothies, shakes, coffee, and many others that quench your thirst.

     

A part of their pool also has these cute seats to lounge around.

They have a free yoga session every morning. Mother dear was so excited to try!

The Ibiza Beach Club is a perfect place to hangout in the afternoon since they offer buy1-take1 drinks - juices, beers, cocktails, everything - yay for happy hour! Imagine lounging around with a cocktail in your hand while watching the sunset in this amazing view. Aaahh.

It's a must to have dinner at Ibiza. This place gets a little crowded at night because of their live band and performances. You actually need to have a reservation to have a table.
